Historically
There are as many definitions for spiritual psychology as there are people we ask to define it. The truth is, Spiritual Psychology has been around since the beginning of time, and has been voiced from every corner of our planet from teachers and mystics who have set down their wisdom and guidance to help us live more meaningful lives.
Today
My particular style of Spiritual Psychology is a unique blend of traditional Behaviorial Psychology, Buddhist Psychology, Mind/Body Therapy, and Mindfulness Meditation principles.
I see Spiritual Psychology as something we experience every day when we listen compassionately to our friends' stories of hurt and disappointment, or joy and success, or when we seek guidance from someone we trust and they offer it to us with loving support. Sometimes, however, our friends and loved ones aren't able to give us the help we are looking for and we turn to therapy for clarity, understanding and the changes we seek.
That's when Spiritual Psychology can be particularly effective. As a therapist who works from a spiritual perspective, I know how to help you access and build the inner resources you need to live the life you desire. I can help you get in touch with your own wisdom and then use it -- in a concrete way -- to create the life you want. When past hurts, misguided beliefs and unconscious patterns block your ability to hear your own voice of wisdom, Spiritual Psychology can help to heal the hurts, change the erroneous beliefs, and point you in the direction of success and happiness.
